The Dunedin Brewery was established in 1995 by its owner Michael Norman Bryant. He founded this brewery based on his deep-rooted fondness for home-brewing. By 1996, the first keg was officially delivered to Skip’s Bar and Grille in Downtown, Dunedin. The brew was an Imperial Brown Ale. Ever since that moment, the Dunedin Brewery has expanded from a single employee to almost 50. Right now, the brewery is run under the leadership of Michael Norman Bryant’s son Michael Lyn Bryant.

3. The Dunedin Brewery

We have already spoken about the history of the Dunedin brewery. Located on Douglas Avenue, this historic brewery is the oldest microbrewery in the state of Florida. Located just a short walk from Main Street, the Dunedin brewery is famous for its live entertainment and large outdoor seating. The amazing live music coupled with tasty snacks and 14 beers makes the Dunedin Brewery a must-visit for all the tourists in the area. 4. Cueni Brewing Co.

The Cueni Brewing Co. is located directly off the Pinellas Trail at 945 Huntley Avenue. The name of the bar is pronounced as “q-knee,” and it is one of the newer breweries in the Dunedin region. It was established in 2016 and has already won people’s hearts, and a couple of medals – Bronze in the Best Florida Beer Competition for the monkey skull porter and the people’s choice award at the safety harbor burger and beer throw down for their orange tail cream ale. The space inside and outside of the brewery is fairly large, accompanied by plenty of seating. The brewery offers 10 beers with their main focus on the English Ales and Belgians, coupled with some decent ciders.

5. Woodwright Brewing Co.

The history behind the Woodwright Brewing Co. is very interesting. Its history is attached to woodworking. Today, the brewery and the tasting room is designed to pay tribute to the company’s roots. Made from a traditional yet vibrant wood interior, the brewery pays homage to its makers. If you are someone who enjoys sipping your beer inside then, you will have a lot to look at. The interior design is made up of unique woodwork and displays some interesting wood crafting tools. If you step outside, you can see Douglas Avenue from the deck. 6. 7venth Sun Brewing Co.

The 7venth Sun Brewing Co. is one of the more well-known breweries in the Tampa Bay region. It is situated in Alt 19 (Broadway), which is almost directly opposite Skinner Boulevard. The brewery opened in 2012. Even though the Dunedin location offers a small interior, it still attracts a lot of attention from tourists and the locals. The outdoor sitting area of the Dunedin location expands from the front of the building to a covered area on the sides. This location is filled with beer enthusiasts almost every day of the week. The brewery offers 10 beers on tap, some bottled beers, and some collection of wines. Hence, there is something for everyone here. One of the most popular choices among customers is the Graffiti Orange; it is an American Wheat beer, which is known for its crispy, clean taste.

The Dunedin House of Beer was opened in 2009 and has now expanded to 2 other locations. One is at Palm Harbor, and the other is at Gainesville, Florida.
